Setup instructions for:

Webphone

The software which allows a user to make phone calls directly form their web browsers is called a "webphone". Webphones use VoIP technology for this purpose and are usually written in Java programming language, though some Flash based webphones are now also appearing in the market.

Java

VisionVoIP uses a Java based webphone, which requires you to have Java installed on your computer, and allow it to access your system so that it can use micropone and speakers of your system.

Making Calls

In order to make a call from the website, type in a number and click "Enter a phone number to dial".

When you type in a phone number for the very first time, a few security windows will pop up, asking you to give access to Java and VisionVoIP's webphone to your system. Based on a system configuration and software installed, these popup windows will be different on every system, but their main purpose is the same, asking your permission to have VisionVoIP's webhone access microphone and speakers on your system. You should permit Java to access your system.

Some common popup widows look like following:

Once you have allowed Java to access your system and no firewall or other software blocking its access to VisionVoIP's SIP server, you should see the webphone connecting to VisionVoIP as follows:

Once the webphone is connected, you can type in a number, and press enter, or click the "Enter a phone number to dial" button to make calls.
